When running my own shop a few years back I was trying to find music that was different to play on the shop. Interesting for me when it was quiet, pleasant for when customers came in. I happened upon a playlist of Nordic folk (using the word folk loosely) on Spotify.
It quickly become a favourite and on repeat constantly. I grew to become a fan of many of the artists featured, and I sought to discover as much about them and linked artists as I could. Untapping a well of diverse and exciting artists, I thought I would start this site to explore these artists more and showcase new music coming from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Iceland.
I hope it can help readers discover some great artists.
